Flock Freight: the next wave of innovation

Presenting

Oren Zaslansky

CEO | Flock Freight

Flock Freight is a technology company that finds and fills trucks’ empty spaces so shippers can save money, carriers can earn more money and goods move with more accuracy and less emissions.

Truck freight transportation is a massive producer of greenhouse gas. And, according to Flock Freight CEO, Oren Zaslansky, 50% of freight truck trailers often aren't even close to full. But what if freight could rideshare? Zaslansky breaks down how Flock Freight is algorithmically carpooling truckload freight and optimizing routes to decrease carbon emissions by up to 40%. These efficiencies are creating a new standard of service for shippers while increasing revenue for carriers. "We burn the same amount of fuel, the same amount of diesel, create the same amount of greenhouse gas to run a truck half full as we do completely full,” says Zanslansky. “We’re addressing that.”

In The Green: The Business of Climate Action showcases steps Climate Pledge signatories are taking to transform business and industry on their path to net zero by 2040—or sooner!—while inspiring companies from all sectors and regions to set their own net zero ambition.

This is the fourth episode of a videos series collaboration between The Climate Pledge and TED Countdown.
